Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) replaced Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG), but is still the same service that offers flexible options for personal care services (ADLs).

CFSS services are focused on a combiniation of activities of daily living (ADLS) and Instrumental activities of daily living (IADLS) that is included in a person’s care plan. These services may include:
ADLS
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Bathing
- Eating
- Transfers
- Mobility
- Positioning
- Toileting
IADLS may include but not limited to:
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Laundry
- Community participation
CFSS workers can provide redirection and observe as needed to the person for behaviors that need redirection as identified in their care plan. A person can receive their CFSS service as indicated by the DHS where their normal life activities take them.
